What you need before onboarding

Everything here is one-time setup.

Everything on this list is a one-time setup. With these in hand, a workspace goes from invite link to shipping in under an hour.

1. An invite link

Signups are invite-only. You'll get a link from us; it's valid for 14 days.

2. A founder email + password

The person who owns the workspace signs up with an email and password and verifies the email (click the link we send). Until that's done, the system won't let the workspace connect stores or sync any customer data. That's a safety rule, not a suggestion.

3. Shopify access (10 minutes, done once)

You (or whoever manages your Shopify) create a small custom app inside your own Shopify admin and hand us nothing. You paste its token into your own settings screen. The step-by-step guide is built into the app.

  • What we read: orders, customers on those orders, line items.
  • What we write: order notes, and a "cancel" tag when support cancels.
  • You can revoke the token from Shopify at any time.

4. A Shiprocket API user (10 minutes, done once)

In your Shiprocket panel you create a separate API user, not your main Shiprocket login, and enter those credentials in settings. Keep your main login to yourself; the system never asks for it.

Also make sure your Shiprocket account has at least one pickup location set up (it almost certainly does if you're shipping today).

5. Your default package size

Length × breadth × height (cm) and dead weight (kg) of your most common parcel. The system uses it to check courier serviceability and as the fallback when an order arrives without dimensions. Shipping stays locked until this is filled in, because there is no safe "average parcel" we could guess for you.

6. Your team list

Names and roles for everyone who touches orders:

RoleForCan
Opspackers, pickerswork orders, pack, scan
Supportcustomer teamconfirm/hold/cancel, fix addresses, returns
Managerfloor leadeverything ops+support can, plus overrides & reversals
Adminyou / trusted leadeverything, including settings & team

Each person gets a name + 6-digit PIN. No emails needed for operators.

7. Optional but recommended

  • A USB barcode scanner (any ~₹1,500 gun): makes packing verification and dispatch scanning much faster than typing.
  • Your stock list as a CSV: product, colour, SKU, current count. Import it on day one and inventory tracking starts immediately. You can also start without inventory and switch it on later.
  • Decide two policies (changeable anytime in settings):
  • Confirmation: every order confirmed before shipping / COD only / off.
  • Packing photos: required before an order can be marked packed, or not.

Sounds like your floor? Invite-only pilot. A short email is all it takes.
